About Element Landscape Construction Inc.

North of town, Highway 33 climbs into the Matilija sandstone, and by July the heat comes off that rock as though it has been stored up all year. Down on the valley floor the lawns feel it too, and the day narrows to its two good ends. Element Landscape Construction Inc. works those ends, mowing, edging, trimming and clearing while there is still some cool left in the ground. Cuttings go with the crew, walks get blown down, nothing is left leaning against the garage door. Summer in Ojai is a long haul, and a lawn tended on a set schedule comes out the far side of it still looking like a lawn.
