About Franco's Landscaping Inc

In October the wind flips direction — down out of the passes instead of in off the water, dry and hot — and by afternoon every yard along North River Road has a drift of leaves piled against the fence. Franco's Landscaping Inc works those weeks hard: cleanups, hauling, clearing out the corners, cutting back growth the Santa Anas have turned brittle. The rest of the year settles into rotation, with lawns cut and edged, hedges trimmed, beds weeded and the irrigation doing what it's told. Out toward Melba Bishop the lots run big, and a big lot rewards a long straight pass more than a fussy one. When the wind finally lies down, the properties they've cleared are the ones that look like nothing ever happened.
