About C & J Family Landscaping

Along Highway 76 the strawberry fields run right up to the shoulder, and on a June morning the whole valley sits under a gray lid that won't lift until eleven. C & J Family Landscaping starts in that soft light, mowers off the trailer, the river bottom still cool underfoot. The San Luis Rey valley grows things easily when it's watered and gives them up quickly when it isn't, so the calendar here is really an irrigation calendar. They cut and edge on a schedule, trim hedges, pull weeds before the weeds get ideas, blow the drives clean and keep the beds turned and mulched. The reward is small and repeatable: a lawn with the stripes still standing in it and a walkway you could eat off.
