About Von Greiff Tree Care

Oakville is a crossroads in the middle of the Napa Valley, where Highway 29 runs past vineyard rows stretching flat to the foot of the Mayacamas and the morning fog lifts slowly off the vines. Big valley oaks still stand in the fields and along the roadsides, as if the place had been named on purpose. Von Greiff Tree Care looks after trees like these, pruning, shaping, and tending the oaks and ornamentals that shade homes and drives around Oakville. In late September, as harvest begins at first light, a well-pruned oak throws a generous pool of shade across the dry grass. Caring for those trees is a way of honoring what gave this place its character.
