About Economy Grass Systems Inc.

February in North Oakland is the secret green season — three weeks of rain and every lawn from Bushrod to the Golden Gate district comes up thick. Economy Grass Systems Inc. builds the year around that turn: overseeding the worn stretches, aerating, feeding, laying fresh sod where old grass finally gave out under a summer of foot traffic. Then it is mowing and edging on a regular round straight through the dry months, with the trimmer taking fence lines and the strip out by the curb. A lawn that has been opened up and fed shows it — deeper color, softer underfoot, and a line at the sidewalk you could measure with a straightedge. That result, block by block, is what the crew is after.
