About Hewn Man Tree Service

In April the Middle Yuba runs loud and jade-green with snowmelt in its canyon north of town, and the ponderosas on the slopes around North San Juan push out pale new candles of growth. Hewn Man Tree Service tends those tall neighbors, trimming, thinning, and removing trees that lean too near a roof or steal the light from a garden. The name carries the sound of a single clean stroke, and the work aims for that same plainness: cuts where they belong, and a canopy opened just enough for morning sun to find the porch. Plenty of people here built their homes into the forest on purpose. Keeping house and forest on good terms is a craft worth doing right.
