Villafana El Yardero

About Villafana El Yardero

On Saturday mornings in Newman you can hear the neighborhood wake up one mower at a time, and somewhere in that sound is Villafana El Yardero, working down a street the way a good barber works a haircut — steadily, carefully, no corner skipped. El yardero means the yard man, and the name is a plain promise: this is the person who cuts the grass, trims the edges, pulls the weeds, and hauls off the clippings until the place looks right. The work follows the valley year — fast growth in spring, deep watering-season cuts through the furnace of summer, leaves and cleanups in fall. A block where the yards are kept feels different to walk down. That feeling is the product.
