About Mile High Gardening & Landscape

October is the season Nevada City shows off, when the sugar maples along Broad Street catch fire against the white Victorian gables. Mile High Gardening & Landscape gets to work inside that picture — raking the color once it falls, putting gardens to bed, keeping lawns green and trimmed through the mild months on either side. Spring in the foothills is a rush of growth after the rains, and summer asks for steady mowing and thoughtful care of beds and borders. It is gardening at elevation, on slopes, among pines, and it rewards patience. The reward shows: yards around Nevada City, Grass Valley, and Rough and Ready that look tended without looking fussed over.
