About Coastal Tree Experts, Inc

Los Osos wakes up beside an estuary, and the town's oaks show exactly what that means, wind-bent and low-crawling, nothing like the oaks anywhere inland. Coastal Tree Experts, Inc works among them and around them, pruning Monterey pines that have thrown all their weight to the leeward side, trimming eucalyptus back off a roofline, removing the pine that finally gave out over a driveway between the dunes and the bay. Salt air, sand and steady onshore wind are hard on a tree's structure, so cuts here are made with the next southerly already in mind. Fog holds in the branches most mornings until the sun finds a way down, and afterward a storm leaves limbs on the road and wood on the lawn that have to come off before anything else happens. The work is small and local, and it keeps this quiet town's canopy standing.
