Coastal Landscapes

About Coastal Landscapes

Across the water from town, the sandspit runs four miles of dune grass holding its ground against the wind — and that is the local lesson Coastal Landscapes takes to every lawn in Morro Bay. Green that lasts here has to be tended for salt air and sea fog, so the crew mows, feeds, and trims with the coast in mind. Edges stay sharp where turf meets sandy soil; beds stay weeded through the gray mornings and bright afternoons alike. It is unglamorous, steady work that adds up to yards that hold their color all year. Like the dunes, the trick is roots and persistence.
