Ground Studio

About Ground Studio

First light on Jacks Peak comes through the coast live oaks in long slices, and the yards below the ridge keep the cold until nine. Ground Studio is a lawn care outfit in Monterey, California, keeping grass cut and edges honest along the wooded rim of town. Autumn out this way is the clear season — the fog steps back, the afternoons run warm, and the mowing turns easy and exact. Oak litter comes down with every gust, so the blow-off at the end of a visit matters as much as the cut itself. Shade changes what a lawn wants, and the mow height gets set for the yard in front of you. Neat turf under old trees is a specific pleasure, and it is the one this crew works toward.
