About Contreras landscaping

Up where Montecito's lanes climb into the chaparral, the sandstone glows almost pink in late light, and Contreras landscaping does its best work against that backdrop. Lawns here run right up to decomposed-granite paths and dry-stacked stone, so the edging has to be exact — a crisp green line meeting the foothill's rougher textures. The crew mows, trims, and clears with the patience the hills teach, one property at a time. After a rare winter rain, when the whole slope smells of sage, they are out resetting beds and pulling the weeds the storm woke up. The result is a yard that belongs to its hillside instead of fighting it.
