Greenery

About Greenery

Early on an April morning, sunlight finds the old stone fronts along Main Street in Mokelumne Hill before it reaches the hollows below. The Hotel Leger and the tall Odd Fellows hall have stood through more than a century and a half of springs here, and each one arrives fast and green. Greenery keeps the lawns and yards of this small Calaveras County town in step with that rush, mowing while the grass is still soft, edging walks clean and tidying beds before summer heat takes hold. A tended lawn beside a Gold Rush street carries its own kind of grace. Greenery is proud to tend that grace at home in Mokelumne Hill.
