About Johnson's Borders and Beyond

After a March storm clears out, the Sierra crest shows white on Modesto's eastern horizon for a day or two and everything close at hand looks sharper for it. Johnson's Borders and Beyond takes its word seriously — the line where lawn meets walkway, where bed meets turf, where the mower stops and the gravel starts. Mowing and edging come first, then trimming, shrub and hedge shaping, weeding, and a clean blow-down so the borders read all the way from the curb. A yard with defined edges looks tended even the week before it gets cut. Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Riverbank and Oakdale make up the territory.
