Complete Clean

About Complete Clean

Some December mornings the tule fog settles so low over Modesto that the far end of the block disappears and every fence post beads with damp. Work goes on anyway: mowing at the winter interval, cutting back what has gone leggy, clearing leaves out of the corners, weeding beds while the ground is still soft enough to pull. Complete Clean leaves a yard the way the name suggests — edges defined, walks swept, nothing left in the gutter. There is a real pleasure in a driveway that reads clean from the street when the fog finally lifts at noon. The route covers Modesto and the neighboring towns of Ceres, Salida, Empire and Riverbank.
