Yard Pop

About Yard Pop

Late spring, and the bougainvillea along the back walls goes off like something spilled — magenta, coral, all of it at once, over every fence in the neighborhood. Yard Pop chases that same effect at a smaller scale: mowing and edging clean, trimming hedges and shrubs into shape, cutting back and clearing beds so the color has somewhere to sit, and carrying the rest away. A yard in Mission Viejo does not need to be big to look like something; it needs contrast — cut grass against dark mulch, a straight edge running up against a curved bed. Most of the effect comes from the last twenty minutes of the visit. The pop is in the finish.
