Family Tree & Garden

About Family Tree & Garden

The live oaks of Mission Canyon are old company — broad, patient trees that shade the gardens tucked along the canyon roads. Family Tree & Garden works beneath them: pruning shrubs and small trees, tending lawns that share their light with the oak canopy, clearing the leaf drop that arrives in its own slow seasons. Gardening under oaks is a study in cooperation, choosing what thrives in dappled shade and keeping it healthy there. Evenings come early in the canyon where the trees grow thick, and a swept, trimmed garden in that soft light is a kind of hospitality. The trees set the mood; the care completes it.
