About Clements Tree Service, Inc

Mill Valley took its name from a sawmill in a redwood canyon, and the canyon is still the town's heart, creeks loud after rain and redwoods standing close beside houses that were fitted in among them. Clements Tree Service, Inc works those tight canyon lots below the mountain, pruning redwood and bay laurel back off the shingles, trimming for light in yards the sun only reaches at an angle, removing a tree that has begun to lean over a deck or a bedroom. It is steep, narrow, rope-driven work, every piece lowered where it can be caught and nothing dropped into a garden. Winter rain and wind put wood down across the little roads, and clearing it is the first job of the morning. A house tucked under a healthy redwood is what people came here for, and keeping that arrangement working is the craft.
