About Flores Gardening & Landscaping

February brings San Francisquito Creek up out of its quiet, and for a few weeks every lawn between the creek and downtown turns a green it will not be able to keep. Flores Gardening & Landscaping is out in that window with the mower, cutting between storms when the ground firms enough to hold a wheel, edging the walks back to their true border, trimming what winter pushed over the lines. Then come the cleanups — the wet leaf mats lifted off, the beds cleared, the lawn opened up so the light gets down to the crown. Work done well in the rainy season is what a yard lives on in July. The crew covers Menlo Park and the neighborhoods on either side of the creek, and takes real pride in handing a place back looking cared for.
