About CH&L landscaping

Morning fog slides in off the Carquinez Strait and hangs over the marina until the sun burns through somewhere around nine. CH&L landscaping is already out in it, mowers down, edging wet grass while the town is still quiet. Yards near the waterfront take salt air and wind; the ones up the hill take sun all afternoon — different lawns, different watering, the same weekly attention. Mowing, trimming, weed control, beds tidied and the cuttings carried off. By noon the fog has lifted and the cut lines are sharp enough to see from the porch.
