About Goldman Landscape

In May the jacarandas over the Manhattan Heights streets let go all at once, and for a few weeks every lawn in the neighborhood wears a purple confetti it never asked for. Goldman Landscape shows up into the middle of that — mowing through the drift, edging the walks clean again, raking the blossoms out of the groundcover before they mat down and smother it. The rest of the year the rhythm is simpler and no less careful: cut, trim, feed the turf, keep the weeds honest, shape the hedges back off the windows. Mornings up here start cool and gray and open into a bright, dry afternoon, and the work fits neatly between the two. A tidy yard under a flowering tree is one of the better things this town does.
