About Appletree Services Inc.

Before the warehouses and the subdivisions this end of the valley was orchard, and in Milpitas the survivors are still out there, a plum or an apricot in the corner of a yard, blossoming in March along the streets near Coyote Creek. Appletree Services Inc. keeps those and everything planted since, pruning fruit trees back into a shape that bears and stays reachable, trimming the ash, sycamore and redwood that shade the newer blocks, removing trunks that have grown into a fence or a foundation. Summer afternoons come warm with a bay wind behind them, and a thinned crown travels with that wind instead of fighting it. When a winter system leaves branches over a walkway or a parked car, storm damage cleanup puts the place right. Good pruning is invisible a year later, which is exactly the goal.
