About Serene Gardens LLC

There is a kind of Los Angeles garden that turns its back on the street — a courtyard, a side yard, a strip of shade behind a stucco wall where the traffic noise drops off. Serene Gardens LLC tends places like that, with garden maintenance, planting, pruning, bed care and lawn work sized to small deliberate spaces. Late afternoon is when they read best, the light coming in low and warm over the wall, everything trimmed and watered and completely still. Plants chosen for this climate, the ones that take the long rainless stretch without sulking, hold that calm right through the year. The result is quiet, and quiet turns out to be difficult to build.
