About Residential Landscaping Designer

The old residential squares of Los Angeles were laid out around the front lawn — deep setbacks, a straight walk to the porch, and a stretch of grass meant to be looked at from the sidewalk. Residential Landscaping Designer starts there, planning how a yard should read from the street and then keeping it that way: mowing, edging the walk and drive, trimming the borders, clearing out what the season drops. Design and upkeep answer to each other, since a layout only looks like the drawing if somebody maintains the lines. Morning is the hour to see whether it works, when the light comes low across the grass and the shape of the yard is obvious. Getting that shape right, and holding it, is the whole job.
