About Los Angeles Hydroseed

After a February rain the hills around Los Angeles turn a green so sudden it looks borrowed, and then the graded lots stand out plainly — bare, tan, waiting. Los Angeles Hydroseed works those slopes and cut pads, spraying seed, mulch and tackifier in one wet green coat and coming back to see it take. Hydroseeding covers ground a rolled lawn never would: long banks, awkward grades, wide open lots where every square foot has to start from nothing. There is also the ordinary care that keeps a new stand going — mowing once it is up, edging, trimming and cleanup. The best part of the job is the third week, when the color stops being spray and starts being grass.
