About Chuck’s Landscaping

Autumn mornings in Eagle Rock start cool in the shadow of the rock itself, with the Verdugos standing blue to the north and Colorado Boulevard just beginning to stir. Chuck's Landscaping is already at work by then, mowing the deep front lawns of those craftsman blocks and cutting the edge clean where turf meets the long straight walk to the porch. Shrubs get trimmed back off the windows, weeds taken out of the beds, the whole yard raked over and cleared. There is a particular pleasure in the moment the mower shuts off and the street goes quiet again over a lawn that is finally even. It looks like someone cared, because someone did.
