Lawn Brothers

About Lawn Brothers

Westside mornings begin gray, the marine layer lying low off Santa Monica Bay until the sun works through it around mid-morning. Lawn Brothers is out in that soft hour, when the grass is cool and takes a cut cleanly. The days are mowing, edging, trimming and clearing what falls, block after block of small front lawns sitting shoulder to shoulder. By afternoon the gray has lifted, the sky turns that flat Pacific blue, and the yards look sharp underneath it. The pleasure of it is the line held true along every stretch of sidewalk.
