About Holt Landscape Inc.

Freight still rolls through Loomis on the line beside the old depot, and the town long ago learned to talk over it. Holt Landscape Inc. works within earshot of that sound, laying sod and building planting beds on yards across the flats and the low hills behind them. New turf is mostly preparation — ground worked and leveled, soil amended, seams laid tight so the lawn knits into one piece by the second month. Maintenance carries it from there: mowing, edging, trimming, keeping the beds from creeping past their lines. The moment to wait for is the first cut on a lawn that was bare dirt in spring.
