About Berkstresser Landscaping

Taylor Road carries the town's slow traffic past the old storefronts, and in November it carries leaves too, sycamore and liquidambar piling against the curbs. Berkstresser Landscaping spends that stretch of the year on cleanups — leaves hauled off, beds cut back, shrubs pruned before the winter rain sets in. The rest of the calendar is mowing and edging on a steady rotation, the sort of upkeep that keeps a place from ever looking forgotten. There is real pleasure in the last pass of the blower, when the walkway comes back bare and dark and the lawn edge reads sharp against it. Loomis notices tidy work; people here still walk past and look.
