Tim's Lawn Maintenance

About Tim's Lawn Maintenance

By July the Central Valley sun is a full-time job of its own, and the smart hours in Lodi are the ones before the traffic on 99 wakes up. Tim's Lawn Maintenance takes those hours: first cut going down while the almond orchards north of town still hold their shade, sprinklers ticking off, the grass cool enough to stand tall behind the blade. Mowing a little higher through the hot stretch, edging the driveway and the mailbox strip, trimming the fence line, then blowing the walks clear — that's the whole discipline, repeated until the heat breaks in October. Nothing about it is complicated; all of it is the difference between a lawn that survives a Lodi summer and one that gives up in August. The best part of the morning is looking back from the curb at a yard that reads as one clean rectangle of green.
