Bently's Garden

About Bently's Garden

Around the old windmill and adobe at Ravenswood, Livermore keeps a small piece of its ranch-era self, and the lawns there look best when the grass and the beds agree on where one stops and the other starts. Bently's Garden works that same seam in yards across town — mowing the open turf, trimming the awkward margins, and cutting a firm edge where lawn meets planting so the whole yard reads as one composition. Late spring is the moment it all comes together: everything growing, everything still cool in the mornings, the mower leaving a scent that hangs around for an hour. The crew clears what it cuts and leaves the paths swept. It is gardener's attention applied to a lawn, and the difference is visible from the gate.
