Root Landscapers

About Root Landscapers

The ground under Live Oak is Feather River ground — deep loam the river laid down long before the orchards came, and the reason things grow here almost on request. Root Landscapers starts where the name does, down in that soil: preparing beds, planting trees and turf, setting landscapes that take hold instead of just sitting on top. Fall is planting season in the valley, when the heat lets go and roots run all winter, and the calendar bends around it. Above ground the crew keeps what was planted trimmed, mowed, and mulched so it holds its shape. They work Live Oak and its river neighbors — Yuba City, Marysville, and Gridley.
