About Smartscape Turf Innovations

Out on the Twelve Bridges side of Lincoln the streets are new, the lots run wide, and the hills behind them turn from green to gold in about two weeks each May. Smartscape Turf Innovations looks after the turf on those lots — mowing, edging, trimming, aeration and fertilization, cleanups, and paying attention to how a lawn takes the water it gets. Dawn is the working hour, while the grass is still cool and a blade can cut it clean instead of tearing it. Turf in this valley has to hold up through a long dry stretch, so the height goes up as the heat builds and the mowing pattern gets turned so the ground never packs in one direction. What shows from the sidewalk is a lawn that stays even and green while the hills behind it have gone the color of straw.
