RIVER ROCK LANDSCAPING

About RIVER ROCK LANDSCAPING

Auburn Ravine slides through the middle of Lincoln, and the round stone out of its bed turns up again in yards all over town — bordering beds, holding a slope, filling a dry swale. RIVER ROCK LANDSCAPING keeps the green parts of those yards in order: mowing, edging, string trimming, hedge work and hauling the clippings away. They start early, while the water under the bridges still carries night air and the mower leaves a dark stripe through the dew. In February the hills east of town come up green almost overnight, and grass cut to one even height with a hard line at the walkway is what makes a place look like someone is home. Nothing fancy in it — a yard read for where it drains, where it bakes, where the machine should turn. Lincoln is home, and the work goes out from there to the neighboring towns.
