About Aztec Landscaping, Inc.

Before the first Orange Line car slides through the Lemon Grove depot, the streets off Broadway are still cool and blue, and the mower is already coming down off the trailer. Aztec Landscaping, Inc. keeps lawns cut in Lemon Grove — mowing, edging, string-trimming the fence lines and hauling the clippings away so nothing is left behind but the smell of cut grass. In February, when the winter rain turns the slopes toward San Miguel a startling green, the grass comes on fast and the route runs long. There is a plain pleasure in the final pass: the stripe laid straight, the edge cut clean along the walk, the driveway blown down to bare concrete. By the time the big lemon on the corner takes full sun, the yard looks like somebody cares about it.
