About benito's Gardening

First light over the San Joaquin Hills, dew still on everything, and the mower leaves a dark stripe behind it in the wet grass. benito's Gardening starts Laguna Niguel days early — mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, weeding the beds, then sweeping and hauling so nothing is left behind but the yard itself. Gardens here run on a long, mild calendar: growth all winter, restraint all summer, constant small corrections in between. The work rewards showing up rather than showing off. By the time most of the street is awake, one more place looks tended.
