On the flat blocks up around Northmont the sprinklers come on before five and the street smells like wet concrete until the sun clears the ridge. Omega Turf follows a couple of hours behind, cutting grass that has had its drink and laying passes straight enough that the stripes hold all week. Turf is the whole interest here: even height, fed at the right moment, aerated and overseeded once it has gone thin and tired. Edges are cut sharp along drive and walk, and weeds are lifted before they can seed into the good part. A lawn that reads clean from the sidewalk is worth an early start.
