About Bribiesca's Landscaping Co.

On a Saturday, La Bonita Park fills up with soccer and shade and the smell of cut grass, and half the houses around it want that same feeling in their own front yard. Bribiesca's Landscaping Co. builds it one visit at a time — mowing, edging along the walkways, trimming shrubs back off the windows, sweeping up until nothing is left but the lawn. Some yards on these streets run wide and flat; others step down a slope in three short terraces, and each takes a different pass with the mower. The reward is the same in both: an even green plane, corners squared, edges cut deep enough to throw a small shadow. It is unhurried, ordinary work, and it makes a whole block look cared for.
