About Best Lawnmower, Inc

Whittier Boulevard wakes up early in La Habra — delivery trucks, first light off the storefront glass, and somewhere behind it a mower finding its rhythm. That sound belongs to Best Lawnmower, Inc, which spends its days on the residential blocks that fan out from the boulevard, cutting, trimming and hauling the clippings off. Grass grows nearly all year in this corner of Orange County, so the job is less about starting and stopping than about showing up on the same day, week after week. Autumn brings dry wind and the leaf work that follows it; late winter brings the flush of growth that follows the rain. Either way the finish is identical: an even cut, tidy borders, the walk swept before the gate closes.
