Ione Tree service

About Ione Tree service

Winter mornings in Ione arrive wrapped in tule fog, the kind that softens the brick storefronts downtown and keeps the old castle on the hill hidden until ten o'clock. Sound carries strangely in it; a chainsaw two streets over could be next door. Ione Tree service starts those days anyway, pruning valley oaks and yard trees back into shape while the wood is dormant and the cuts have all spring to close. Removals belong to this season too -- the tree grown into a line, the one leaning over a barn -- and after a windy night there is the long, honest work of stacking and carrying off what came down. Come April, when the fog is gone and wildflowers run up the roadsides toward Sutter Creek, the winter's shaping shows in every canopy.
