About Vargas Sons Landscaping

Where Inglewood tilts up toward the Baldwin Hills, the yards get sloped and stepped, and the whole basin opens out behind you while you work. Vargas Sons Landscaping takes those grades as they come — mowing terraced lawns, edging the retaining walls and stair runs, trimming the banks that a mower can't reach. Shrubs on the slope are cut back so the hillside stays legible, and the clippings come down with the crew rather than washing into the street with the first rain. Hill work asks for footing, patience and a good eye for line. What it gives back is a property that looks composed from the top of the drive and from the bottom.
