Garden Works

About Garden Works

Most of Hawthorne is laid out on a strict grid, but up in Holly Glen the streets bend, and the lawns bend with them, every edge a long soft curve instead of a straight run. Garden Works cuts them the way they were drawn, following the arc of the walk with the edger until the line looks inevitable. The lawn care here is uncomplicated and done properly: mowing, edging, trimming around fences and mailboxes, hedges kept honest, and the cuttings gathered up and gone. Saturday mornings the whole neighborhood hums with mowers, and there is a quiet pleasure in being the yard that still looks cut on Wednesday. Garden Works keeps that going for homes throughout Hawthorne and nearby Del Aire, Lawndale and Westchester.
