Helix Landscapes

About Helix Landscapes

Hawthorne is a city of right angles, its numbered streets running flat and true from Crenshaw over toward Aviation, and a lawn set into that grid ought to have edges to match. Helix Landscapes takes the geometry seriously: mowing in even passes, edging every border until the divide between turf and pavement looks like a decision rather than an accident, trimming the corners a mower cannot reach. At noon in July the shadows fall straight down and there is nowhere to hide a sloppy pass, which makes it the right test for the work. Add the cleanup, cuttings collected and walks blown clear, and a small front yard starts holding its shape for the whole stretch between visits. Helix serves Hawthorne and the neighboring communities of Lawndale, Del Aire, Gardena and Inglewood.
