Eugene Doucette’s Local Services

About Eugene Doucette’s Local Services

By late afternoon the light in Hasley Canyon turns long and amber, laying every blade of grass in relief. That is when a lawn shows its truth — the missed corner, the ragged border — and Eugene Doucette's Local Services works so there is nothing to show. The route runs through homes tucked along the canyon roads west of Castaic, where lots are generous and the sage-covered slopes press close, and the offering is simple: mowing, trimming, and steady upkeep. The pleasure of it is a straight pass and a crisp line, a yard holding its calm while the hills go wild around it. When the evening breeze moves down the canyon, it moves over grass that has been looked after.
