About Familia Chavez Tree Care LLC

The Russian River runs green and slow past Guerneville all summer, and then some Januaries it comes up into the low streets and rearranges everything; the redwoods along Armstrong Woods Road have seen every version of that story. Familia Chavez Tree Care LLC works the river-town lots under that canopy, pruning bay laurel and second-growth redwood, trimming what crowds a roof, lightening limbs that hang over a deck. Fog pushes in from the coast most evenings and keeps it all soft and wet, which is lovely and also why deadwood wants finding before a wind finds it. Storm damage cleanup is a winter routine here: the wood moved, the yard raked, the way in reopened. Tree removal, when the ground has quietly given up on a tree, is done so that nothing else in that grove pays for it.
