About Powell Arbor Solutions

By September the incense cedars and ponderosas along the Colfax Highway have dropped enough needles to bury a lawn twice over. Powell Arbor Solutions handles the ground beneath all that canopy in Grass Valley: raking and blowing needles off grass and gravel, mowing what light allows to grow, trimming brush back from structures and drives, and carrying the debris away. Shade-grown foothill lawns are thin and particular, and keeping them clear is most of what keeps them going. There is something restful about a yard under big trees that has just been cleaned out — the ground visible again, the shade doing its job. Grass Valley, Cedar Ridge and Chicago Park are on the list.
