Morningstar Industries

About Morningstar Industries

On a January morning the fog sits down in the valley below while the foothills hold clear, frost silvering the grass until the sun comes over the ridge. Morningstar Industries starts yard work in that first hour around Grass Valley: mowing when the season allows, cutting back weeds and brush, clearing leaves and needles, hauling off whatever comes out of a yard. Cold here is brief and wet rather than hard, so the ground keeps working nearly all year. By afternoon a place that looked shaggy at dawn is squared away, and that turnaround is the good part. Grass Valley, Penn Valley and Rough and Ready make up the map.
