Santa Ynez Mowing

About Santa Ynez Mowing

On summer evenings the wind comes down off the Santa Ynez range warm and dry, rattling along the Cathedral Oaks corridor, and the grass it crosses is cut higher for a reason. Santa Ynez Mowing does the mowing — lawns, verges, side lots and open ground — with edging and trimming to give each one a finished perimeter. Out here you learn to leave the blade a little tall through the hot months so the turf shades its own roots and holds color longer. The pleasure is in the wide open pass: a big piece of ground gone from shaggy to uniform in one afternoon, the last strip closed at dusk. Neat ground under a Goleta sunset is worth staying late for.
