Grass Roots

About Grass Roots

Dawn on the edge of Isla Vista is bicycles and dew and the lagoon lying flat as a plate, and the lawns are cold and wet and ready to cut by eight. Grass Roots does exactly what its name says — mowing, edging, string trimming, and keeping turf even and thick through Goleta's long green year. Grass this close to the ocean grows in fog as much as in sun, which changes how often it wants a pass. Cleanups clear the drop and the drift so the lawn stays the main event. Level, unbroken, cut to one height across the whole lot: simple things done right.
