About Arenas landscape

South of town the Jurupa Hills roll up brown and gold out of the flats, and the light coming off them in late afternoon makes every lawn look better than it did at noon. Arenas landscape works those southern neighborhoods and the streets that run toward them — mowing, edging, trimming back whatever has crept over the walk, hauling off the pile at the end. The ground here is decomposed granite and stubbornness, so steady maintenance shows up plainly in turf that holds its color and its shape. There is real satisfaction in the last pass of the mower, when the line finally matches the curb. Then the truck rolls on to the next one.
